Lebon is a French oral care brand that has quietly redefined what toothpaste can be. Founded in 2015 by Stéphanie and Richard Palacci, it sits at the intersection of wellness, design, and sensory pleasure, treating daily brushing less like a chore and more like a ritual of self-care.

Richard Palacci, a doctor of pharmacy with a background in dermo-cosmetology and medicinal plants, developed the formulas with a focus on both efficacy and sensory experience. Together with Stéphanie, the vision was simple but unusual for its category: toothpaste should feel as considered and pleasurable as skincare or fragrance.

This philosophy is most visible in Lebon’s approach to flavour. Instead of relying on standard mint profiles, the brand builds complex aromatic compositions inspired by perfumery. Developed in Grasse, France, these natural blends move beyond freshness into something more textured and nuanced, combining mint with citrus, spice, herbs, or unexpected botanical notes. The result is a brushing experience that feels almost like an explosion in taste ritual rather than a routine.

At its core, Lebon is also defined by restraint. The formulas are made with a focus on natural origin ingredients, including organic green tea, aloe vera, papaya extract, xylitol, and hydroxyapatite. each is chosen for a functional role, from supporting enamel health to maintaining gum balance and helping reduce plaque formation.

Equally important is what the brand leaves out. Lebon avoids ingredients such as sodium lauryl sulfate, parabens, titanium dioxide, and synthetic sweeteners, aligning itself with a more modern idea of “clean” formulation that prioritises gentleness and oral microbiome balance.

Visually and conceptually, Lebon stands apart from conventional oral care. The packaging is minimal and considered, more aligned with beauty counters than pharmacy shelves. The messaging is equally restrained, focusing on quality, origin, and experience rather than clinical claims alone.
