To My Ships
To My Ships is a London-based brand founded by Daniel Bense and launched in September 2024. The name is an extract from Homer's Iliad, more precisely from Robert Fagles' 1990 translation, and the product titles came out of the same reading: Of The Gods, Stand Up Bravely and The Incessant Anxiety.
Each of these three collections is built around a single fragrance note, Polygonum, Marjoram or Geranium, and that note runs through every product in the collection, whether roll-on, hand and body wash or perfume. Pieces from one collection can therefore be worn together, and the scent itself stays subtle. The products give priority to natural and naturally derived ingredients and are made in France.
The team works between London, Paris and Melbourne. To My Ships encourages the reuse, refill and recycling of its containers and describes its look as a subtractive aesthetic, in which what is not needed is left out. Since the launch, the brand has been featured in Monocle, Wallpaper* and The Business of Fashion, among others.
