The name COAL SPINE reflects the brand’s ethos: "COAL" symbolises transformation under pressure, while "SPINE" stands for human strength and determination. This fusion embodies the courage to take risks and innovate.
Every product is handcrafted by Mara in the COAL SPINE studio, using responsibly sourced, certified organic botanicals and high-quality ingredients from Europe and abroad. The unique Moon Soap collection, a visual hallmark of the brand, is inspired by the moon's phases and draws upon the philosophies of Demeter, Carl Jung, and the alchemy of life and nature.
At COAL SPINE, every creation is crafted with care, ensuring that each plant used supports the skin’s natural processes. We design our botanical blends by carefully considering the active components and their synergistic effects when combined.
All products are handmade in small batches, following a meticulous, slow process that often takes a minimum of 8 weeks. We do not outsource any part of our production; everything is done in-house.
Our ingredients are responsibly sourced and of the highest quality. We use certified organic botanicals, oils, and clays from Europe and, when necessary, abroad. The chemical compounds used in our soaps are provided by certified laboratories that specialize in handling such ingredients.
As a European brand, our botanical oils and soaps contain essential oils within the strict limits set by EU regulations. This means we use only highly diluted concentrations to ensure safety and compliance.
