Citrus

Citrus niche perfumes that open on bergamot, mandarin, lemon or orange and settle into something warmer than a cologne.

CRA-YON's Art Life is the brightest: mandarin, bergamot, lemon and grapefruit over fig, then cedar, vetiver and tonka. Continental, from the same French-Swedish house, starts with Brazilian orange and Indian mint before smoky leather and cedar take over. ORACULUM's Krucifist pairs bergamot with pepper, incense and patchouli, and Rhizome's Tropical Dance turns citrus into caramelised orange with vanilla and woods. The citrus opening is the part that fades first, so these are perfumes to reapply during the day; Krucifist also comes in a 10 ml bottle for the bag.
