The Ginseng Cleansing Oil from Beauty of Joseon is a light, silky oil for the first step of a double cleanse. Its soybean oil base, complemented by ginseng seed oil and ginseng extracts, dissolves non-waterproof makeup, excess sebum and everyday impurities. Massaged onto dry skin and then mixed with a little water, it turns into a milky emulsion that rinses off easily and leaves skin feeling soft and comfortable rather than tight. A subtle herbal scent from sage, basil and mugwort oils accompanies the ritual.

Soybean oil forms the base of this cleansing oil and loosens makeup and excess sebum. Ginseng seed oil and extracts from ginseng root, berry and leaf bring in the brand’s signature ingredient, while olive, camellia and hazelnut oils keep the texture supple. In contact with water, the oil turns milky and rinses away together with the dissolved impurities.

Pump 1 to 2 times into dry hands and massage gently over your dry face. Then wet your fingertips and keep massaging until the oil turns milky. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and follow with a water-based cleanser. Use morning and evening.
Beauty of Joseon is a South Korean skincare brand inspired by Hanbang, Korea’s traditional herbal practice, and by the beauty rituals of the Joseon dynasty. Its reference point is the Gyuhap Chongseo, a Joseon-era household encyclopedia written by the scholar Yi Bingheogak.
