Sea sponges have been around for thousands of years. They are wonderful to soap up with in the shower to remove dead skin cells. These sponges are harvested in the sea above the root so that every sponge can grow back.

Care Ritual:
To keep your sponge fresh and long-lasting:
– Rinse thoroughly after each use
– Allow to dry completely between uses, ideally in a well-ventilated space or a sunny windowsill
– Occasionally rinse with a little tea tree oil in water
– Avoid extreme heat or harsh rubbing; always let it air dry naturally

In 1897, Gustav Croll and Theodor Denecke decided to import raw natural sponges from the Greek Mediterranean to Bremen and refine them here by hand. We still do this today – but in the meantime we have expanded our product range to include spa and household products.
