Picture a stone basin, warm water and a long Sunday bath. The scrub arrives as a dry powder: Himalayan crystal salt and Australian ivory clay, blended with native sandalwood powder from Western Australia. A few drops of water turn it into a soft paste that polishes the skin as you work it in.

Clary sage, Himalayan cedarwood and Australian kunzea give it a herbal, woody scent, and cold-pressed hemp seed oil is part of the blend. Once rinsed, the skin feels smooth and soft. Take your time with it, slowly, from the feet upwards.

Because it is sold dry, the scrub stays a powder until the moment you use it. Take a portion, add a little water in your palm or a small bowl and decide for yourself how soft or thick the paste should be.

The sandalwood here is Santalum spicatum, a species native to Western Australia, used as a powder alongside the ivory kaolin clay and the salt crystals. After rinsing, a little Velvet Rose or Ceremonial Oud body oil from Gracious Minds, smoothed over the skin, is a good way to finish. 250 g.

Put a spoonful of the powder in your palm and add a little water until it forms a paste. Massage over damp skin in small circles for a few minutes, starting at the feet and moving up the body, then rinse with warm water.
