A light mist for the moments in between: after the shower, before make-up, halfway through a long afternoon. Beyond the Surface is part serum, part toner, made by Gracious Minds on a base of aloe vera juice and cucumber extract.

Kale, wheatgrass, spirulina and gotu kola bring the green, chamomile adds softness, and Japanese knotweed contributes resveratrol. Hyaluronic acid and pea peptide keep the skin hydrated and supple. There are no essential oils and no added fragrance, only a gentle natural scent of cucumber. Skin is left fresh, with a dewy finish.

Use it as a toner after cleansing, as a refresher during the day, or over make-up for a dewy look. It works on the body too: mist it over the skin straight after the shower.

Japanese knotweed is a well-known plant source of resveratrol, and the peptide comes from the garden pea. In a routine, the mist sits between cleansing with Young Grass Purifying Gel Cleanser and whatever follows: a serum, a face oil or Green Genes Regenerate Hydration Superfood Face Cream.
